DNC’s week begins with “Boo!” fest

By Matt Johnson

The democrats are having an interesting week already, and the evening hasn’t even started. Thus far, Wikileaks released damning emails, Debbie Wasserman Schultz has resigned as the Democratic National Committee chair, and Bernie Sanders was booed and jeered by supporters for telling his flock they needed to vote for Hillary Clinton and Tim Kaine. But Sanders isn’t the only one who experienced the boos and jeers to start the week.

As The American Mirror reported via Kendrick Simpson’s tweet from earlier today,

During a breakfast for California delegates Monday morning, attendees pounded on the tables and chanted ‘Bernie!’

Breakfast at Bernie’s:

And earlier this morning at another event, Debbie Wasserman Schultz was booed off the stage at a Florida delegation breakfast. In this video from start to finish, it’s clear Wasserman Schultz doesn’t have the crowd on her side. By the way, she previously served Florida as a member of the U.S. House of Representatives.

Here’s your 8 minutes of zen:

And finally, here’s the full Bernie Sanders speech from earlier this afternoon. It’s a bit difficult to believe, but Sanders gets boos and jeers when he tells his supporters they “need to elect” Clinton and Kaine. The total speech is a little less than 23 minutes. However, the exchange that leads to the boos and jeers begins at about 16:45.

Here’s the political miscalculation:

What an astounding rebuke to Sanders. He clearly underestimated his followers and the power of his movement. And it seems the movement isn’t over. As CNN analysts have been reporting, there appears to be more Sanders supporters at the DNC than Clinton supporters; and these supporters are energized and ready to go. Of course, they’ve been ready to go for more than a year.
